Shipping and Returns Policy

Shipping Policy

We are happy you have considered us for your storage and organizational needs. We currently ship to the continental United States and Canada. For residents of Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico, please contact our customer service department at (248) 852-8600 to address shipping logistics.

International Shipping

We are currently working hard on streamlining the shipping process to make it hassle-free for our Canadian neighbors. For your convenience, we will calculate the shipping for you at checkout, just select "Canada" in the Country field from within your shopping cart. It is important to note the variable costs involved in international shipping through a third party carrier. This means that the goods you ordered have certain taxes added as soon as they cross into Canada and are not included in the cost of shipping.

The HST (or GST and PST where applicable) is calculated based on the cost and types of materials being brought into the country. Fees will be assessed by the courier service and a brokerage fee added for preparing these items to clear customs. These fees will be due to the third party carrier service at the time of delivery.

For example:
Let's say an Ontario resident is ordering a Chrome Wire Shelving Unit that costs $157 USD. There would be a duty of about $8 USD and fees of about $13 USD. The brokerage fee is paid on the value of the duty, and in this case would be negligible. Therefore, the total due to the third party carrier at the time of delivery would be about $21 USD. Our goal is to make sure that customers  understand this upon purchase so as to avoid unnecessary returns. For this reason, all international orders will be contacted by phone or by email to confirm this arrangement before the order will be shipped. Once shipped, it is the responsibility of the customer to pay the courier. If the fees are then refused, the customer will be liable for the cost to return the goods in addition to a 25% restocking fee.

Returns Policy

Thank you for your order. We hope that you are completely satisfied with our products; however, if you would like to return or exchange something, we require all returns to be made within 60 days of shipment and in their original packaging. Unwanted items are subject to a 25% restocking charge, and all shipping costs are non refundable. If an item was damaged or defective when you received it, we will send you a replacement product immediately. Please contact our customer service representative at 800.637.9508 with your order number on hand to process your return or exchange. We are available Mon-Fri 8:00 am-5:30 pm EST.

  1. Shelving, Inc. will accept merchandise returned within 60 days of the original purchase date and issue refunds (less shipping costs and restocking charges of 25%) so long as:
    1. We receive the merchandise in its original packaging and the product is not damaged.
  2. Shelving, Inc. will not accept merchandise after 60 days from initial shipment.
  3. Shelving, Inc. does not accept custom ordered and altered merchandise for return or exchange.
  4. Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping when sending back unwanted items.
  5. All items sold as clearance are considered final sale and no returns or exchanges of these items are permitted.
  6. Any lost, defective or damaged products must be presented to Shelving, Inc. within 60 days to be replaced. A photograph of the damaged item is required to process the refund or exchange.
  7. Some items are shipped directly from the manufacturer who may have a different return policy. Our customer service representative will notify you of any differences in the policy if they exist.
  8. Once we have received the material in its original packaging and in a re-sellable condition, we will process the credit to the original form of payment less restocking charge and shipping costs
