We use the J-Hooks on the back side of wall-hanging metal shelves in our garage for hanging umbrellas for family members to take on rainy days.  They work great for that application.

These are AWESOME!!! We are using these in my son's closet to hang sports bags from.  He plays on several teams and the different bags that hold all his things were out of control.  These have helped keep him orginized and all those bags off the floor.
