SI Brand Chrome Wire Shelving Our wire shelving is constructed of heavy duty industrial grade steel and is nickel chrome plated for a clean, attractive and durable finish. Other brands use light duty steel and a zinc finish that beings to wear off after only a year of two. Our chrome shines for many years and the durability is unsurpassed. Our wire shelving is utilized in commercial kitchens, schools, hospitals, law enforcement, military and manufacturing facilities nationwide. Our shelving is built strong and tough for the most demanding jobs. We utilize up to 6.3 mm diameter wire for our trusses and support wires. Our wires on the shelves are 3.5mm diameter and are spaced 20mm apart for safety in storing heavy loads. Other brands use much thinner wire and space their wires further apart to provide a less durable shelf. Our chrome wire shelving posts are a full 1.0” diameter while other brands use ¾” diameter posts that won’t stand up to commercial uses or last for years like ours will.
