It is fine but it would be much more universally useful if it were slightly narrower as many things such as pots and pans and dust pan, etc, kitchen items, have smaller holes in the handle.

Before buying these hooks I was confined to hooks that attached only to the upright posts on wire shelving in my recording studio where equipment is on wire shelving.  With headphone wires, microphone wires, etc it was very confining.  These hooks can be placed anywhere along the shelf rail allowing me to place these wires anywhere out of the way yet conveniently located.
I also use one of these hooks inside my sound proof booth.  I slipped the hook onto the arm of a video monitor and store headphones on the hook.
I purchased several hooks and have found a use for all of them in a variety of places.
Good quality. Perfect solution.  Highly recommend.
