We’ve got a special edition for you—Q&A by the Water Dish! Our office is blessed to have a few lovable doggos around. Today they’re taking over to share a little about themselves.

Here at Shelving Inc., I’m the Chief of Barketing. It’s my job to let everyone (loudly) know when a visitor sets foot in our office—and I’m darn good at it. I also have a knack for reading people’s energies so I’m often deployed during interviews to assess potential employees. If they pass the Oscar sniff test, they get bonus points!

One of my favorite past times (to my owners’ dismay) is going after critters in the yard. My trophy catches include squirrels, rabbits and birds. Less violent hobbies include running around big parks off my leash or burying bones to dig them up 6 months later.

My dad adores classical music and so do I. Lately I’ve been into Mozart—he really has a calming effect on me.

Chevy Aiello

  • Age: 5
  • Breed: Pitbull mix
  • Top vacation spot: Owner’s cottage in Lake Orion
  • Favorite toy: Anything with a squeaker
My role here is Waste Management—it’s not an easy job, but someone’s gotta do it. Every few hours I make my rounds, inspecting everyone’s garbage can for danger...or food. Sometimes people are kind enough to leave yummy things on their desk for me, like sandwiches or chips. Although I usually get scolded after eating them, I’m not sure why.

Not to brag but many people have said I’m pretty photogenic. In fact my owner, Joanie, has built up quite a paws-itively impressive Instagram account featuring me (@chevonthegram). Another quality about me? I’m 60 lbs. and a lap dog. I just love being with the humans!

I absolutely love coming to work and often need a treat to leave, but can you blame me?! One of my favorite activities here is racing up and down the hallway with my cousin, Oscar. It’s quite the thrill.

  • Biggest pet peeve: Getting wet, so I walk around puddles, despise baths and refuse to go to the bathroom in the rain
I’m the office cheerleader! I have a ton of love to give and enjoy just about anyone I meet. While here, you can find me taking a snooze in my doggy bed or following my mom wherever (and I mean wherever) she goes.

Everyone I work with is so nice and frequently offer me treats. I’ve learned to speed up the process by walking up to someone and doing my sit-lay-roll routine without being told. Just want to make it easy on them!

Back home, I have a wonderful gig with our mail lady—I’m my adorable self and in turn, she brings me treats in her pockets. And if that doesn’t work, I just bark at my neighbor until they give me some. Did I mention I like treats?

But don't worry; if I haven't gotten any for a while, I can find my own.
