Cart covers, also called wire rack or shelving covers, fit over wire utility carts and mobile or stationary wire shelving to protect stored items from dust, dirt, liquids, and airborne contaminants. This collection includes nylon cart covers in lightweight and heavyweight fabrics, clear vinyl covers with optional scrim reinforcement, and a Quick Ship cover for faster delivery.

Covers come in 18" and 24" depths, 36" to 72" widths, and 64" or 72" heights, with a Velcro or zipper closure on the front panel. Most covers are made to order to fit your shelving size.

Nylon vs. Clear Vinyl Cart Covers

Both materials protect stored items and fit the same shelving sizes. The main difference is whether the contents stay hidden or visible.

Choose a Nylon Cart Cover When:

  • You want contents out of sight to deter tampering or theft
  • You want to color-code carts with one of 8 colors
  • You need lightweight 200 denier or heavyweight 400 denier fabric

Choose a Clear Vinyl Cart Cover When:

  • You want to see and identify contents without removing the cover
  • You want marine-grade vinyl that resists fungus and UV damage
  • You need extra tear resistance from scrim reinforcement

Cart Covers Are Made to Order and Non-Returnable

Every cart cover except the Quick Ship cover is made to order, so covers cannot be returned. Measure your cart or shelving unit's depth, width, and height before ordering, and plan for the lead time.

Made-to-order cart covers are not stocked at our Madison Heights, MI warehouse, so they are not available for local pickup and ship separately from wire shelving in the same order.

Can cart covers be used on stationary shelving?

Yes. Cart covers work on stationary wire shelving units as well as mobile carts and shelving.

What is the difference between 1/4" and 1/8" scrim reinforced vinyl?

Both add a threaded polyester scrim to the clear vinyl for tear resistance. The 1/8" scrim reinforced cover is the strongest clear vinyl cover we offer, while the 1/4" scrim adds durability for long-lasting protection.

How long do cart covers take to ship?

Nylon covers usually ship in 20–25 business days, and clear vinyl covers usually ship in about 3 weeks. The Quick Ship 24"d 400 denier royal blue cover ships the next business day.

Can cart covers be returned?

No. Cart covers are made to order and are non-returnable, so confirm your shelving size before ordering.
