Cable Pulling & Fish Tape

Collection: Cable Pulling & Fish Tape

Cable pulling tools solve the part of an electrical install that is all effort and no skill: getting a conductor from one end of a run to the other. Powered fish tape systems drive steel or composite tape through conduit under motor power, so a long or heavily bent run goes through without two people and a lot of pushing; the powered base takes interchangeable tapes, so reach and stiffness can be matched to the run rather than fixed. Handheld cable pullers apply a controlled thousand-pound-class pull for service conductors, risers and short pulls where setting up a full tugger is out of proportion to the job. Cordless cable strippers remove insulation from aluminium and copper service conductor cleanly and repeatably — a job that is slow by knife and easy to nick the conductor doing, which is a fault that shows up later rather than immediately. What these have in common is taking the guesswork and the brute force out of a task where doing it by hand risks damaging the cable being installed. Match the tool to the conductor size and the length of run.
