Impact Wrenches

Collection: Impact Wrenches

Impact wrenches drive and break loose bolted joints that a ratchet cannot move, using rotational hammer blows rather than steady force, so the torque goes into the fastener instead of the operator's wrist. The range divides by drive size and by torque class. Compact models in 3/8" and 1/2" get into wheel wells, panels and framework where length is the limiting factor. Mid-torque tools cover most structural and fleet work with a useful balance of reach and power. High-torque wrenches, including 1" D-handle and 7/16" hex utility models, take on the bolts on line hardware, heavy equipment and suspension work. Anvil type matters as much as torque: friction rings let sockets change fast, while pin detent holds a socket positively where dropping one is not an option. Stubby and right-angle bodies solve the jobs where nothing else fits. Cordless platforms cover most of this range now, but pneumatic wrenches remain in service where an air line is already run and duty cycles are long. Choose by drive size and the fastener you actually have to turn, then by whether you need bare tool or kit.
