Collection: Measuring & Test
Measuring and test equipment covers the two kinds of checking a job needs: what something measures, and what a circuit is doing. On the layout side, levels, tape measures, folding rules, chalk lines, and squares set out the work and confirm it afterwards, and getting that right at the start is cheaper than correcting it later. On the electrical side, clamp meters read current without breaking the circuit, non-contact voltage testers give a fast first check for energized conductors, and proof testers and voltmeters verify at the voltages a pen tester cannot reach. Phase sequence and motor rotation meters confirm rotation before a motor is energized. Proving units check that a tester still works before and after a test, which is what turns a reading into a verified dead circuit rather than an assumption. Around the instruments sit the test leads, probes, clips, and insulators that adapt a meter to whatever it has to connect to. Whether the task is setting out a run of shelving or confirming a line is de-energized before work starts, this equipment is where the answer comes from.
