Power tool accessories are the parts that extend what a tool can already do, or get power to it in the first place. Modular attachment systems turn one power head into several tools — string trimmer, edger, pole saw, brush attachment — on a common shaft, with extensions adding reach for overhead work; buying the head once and the attachments as needed costs less and takes up less room on the truck than separate machines. Portable power supplies and inverters run corded tools, chargers and site equipment off a battery platform where there is no outlet and a generator would be more noise and fuel than the job deserves. Heavy-duty extension cords in the gauges that actually carry tool current, with lighted ends that show the cord is live, cover the rest. Quick chucks and adapters bridge tools to accessories they were not originally sold with. None of this is glamorous, but a missing cord or the wrong adapter stops a crew as effectively as a broken tool does. Match the accessory to the tool platform it has to fit before ordering.
