Collection: Lineman & Utility Tools
Lineman and utility tools are the equipment electric utility crews use to build, maintain, and repair overhead and underground distribution. The work has requirements no general tool range answers, so the tools are shaped around them. Insulated hand tools carry a tested dielectric coating for work where contact with an energized part is possible. Hot sticks and live-line tools put working distance between a crew and an energized conductor, with universal ends that accept interchangeable heads. Rubber blankets, sleeves, and the straps, buttons, and glove protectors that go with them cover and protect what cannot be de-energized. Conductor grips and Chicago-style clamps hold bare conductor for pulling and tensioning; hooks, blocks, slings, and rigging hardware carry the loads that go up the pole and back down. Glove bags keep rubber goods clean and undamaged between uses, which is what keeps them in test. Aerial bucket accessories organize and secure tools at height. Line tools — lineman hammers, big wrenches, connector tools, and fuse pliers — handle the framing and hardware work that fills most of a day. Used together, and kept in test, this is the equipment the work depends on.
