MX FUEL is Milwaukee's equipment platform rather than its hand tool one — the batteries here run cut-off saws, breakers, core drills, vibrators and carry-on power supplies, equipment that would otherwise need a generator, a compressor or a cord run across a site. The packs are physically larger and deliver far more current than an M18 battery, which is why the two are not interchangeable. XC406 packs suit the lighter end and keep the tool manageable; FORGE XC8.0 and HD12.0 packs carry the capacity for sustained cutting and breaking, where stopping to swap is the real cost. Chargers follow the same logic: a standard charger for overnight, a super charger where turnaround during the shift is what matters, and expansion kits that pair packs and charging together for a crew starting from nothing. The appeal of the platform is what it removes from a site — no fuel, no exhaust, no noise, and nothing to trip over — which is why it gets used indoors and on occupied sites where the alternative is not allowed at all.
