Protective Cases

Collection: Protective Cases

A hard case is what stands between an expensive instrument and the floor of a truck. Pelican's Protector and Vault cases are the reference point: a crushproof copolymer shell, a watertight O-ring seal, an automatic purge valve that equalizes pressure after a temperature or altitude change, and pick-and-pluck foam you tear to the shape of whatever is going inside. That combination is why they carry meters, cameras, and calibrated test gear rather than hand tools. The 1520 is the common mid-size for a meter and its leads; the V700 Vault is a long, low case built for anything that needs to lie flat; and the 1615 Air trims about a third of the weight for kit that flies, sized to airline check-in limits. Alongside them sit purpose-built die cases: Milwaukee's and Burndy's U-style die cases hold a crimping set in numbered pockets so a missing die is obvious before the crew leaves the yard, rather than after. Pick a case by what it has to protect and how it travels, and buy the foam with it - a case with the wrong insert is just a box.
