Wire Strippers & Crimpers

Strippers remove insulation without nicking the conductor, and that qualification is the whole point: a nicked strand is a weak point that shows up as a failure later rather than at the time. Fixed-hole strippers cut to a set gauge and are fastest where the wire size is known and repeated; self-adjusting patterns grip and strip in one squeeze across a range of sizes; combination stripper-cutters add a shear and often a crimping die and bolt cutter, so one tool covers the common electrical tasks. Insulated versions extend the same tools to work where contact with an energized part is possible. Manual crimpers apply compression to lugs, splices and connectors by hand, with ratcheting mechanisms that will not release until the crimp is complete — the mechanical guarantee that makes a crimp inspectable rather than a matter of how hard someone squeezed.
